Why is Tiki such a popular name for chinchillas?
One person named thiers Tiki %26amp; told people, then everyone else thought it was cute %26amp; it spread....I'm assuming that's how Buddy got so popular for dogs...my mom named ours Buddy because her friend in high school had a dog named Buddy! Now I hear it all over.
Reply:It's not just a popular names for chinchillas but for other pets as well. I have a green Cheek Conure named "Tgo" he can't mimic that so he says "Tiki" instead it's cute though.
Popular names I've heard for chinchillas are "Chilly" %26amp; "Chilla"
Their really unoriginal, it's like when people name their Jack Russel Terriers Jack or Jackie.
