Can you name some popular guns used by undercover agents for something like drug trade stopping?

Like submachine guns and such, the smaller type (like the SMG in halo :)

Can you name some popular guns used by undercover agents for something like drug trade stopping?
An undercover agent is not going to use a sub-machine gun.

He is going to carry something compact that can be easily hidden. A lot of undercover detectives in California carry small .38 revolvers. Others might carry a compact semi-auto such as a Glock 19 (9mm), Glock 23 (.40), Glock 26 (9mm), Glock 27 (.40), HK USP Compact, HK P2000, HK P2000SK, Sig P239. They want something very compact and concealable but also something that can adequately protect them if they need it. If I were going to carry something in this situation it would probably be the .38 revolver. Police agencies don't really carry these any more so if someone happens to see it they won't automatically think you're a cop.
Reply:mp 5, and to correct the misinformation old fuzz gave you, 9mm, not .40 caliber is the most widely used round globally, also the m-16/ar15 is available in a .223 round as well as a 5.56. The .45 caliber round is sort of obsolete in these type of weapons,. Another possibility could be an Uzi, which also uses a 9mm round.
Reply:That depends on the country. Here in the USA, you will find two favorite sub-machine guns, the H%26amp;K MP-5, a 9mm gun and the M-16 (or the M-4) with a short barrel and a folding stock is another favorite, it can be chambered in 9mm or 5.56mm.

With handguns, the Glock 22 is probably the most popular LE gun now, in .40 cal. Others are the Sig Sauer, the H%26amp;K USP, the S%26amp;W M%26amp;P. The list is quite long. The .40 cal is the most popular caliber but many elite units are using 1911 style .45 autos.

What is YOUR guess for the next most popular name?

Jessica, Ashley, Isabella, what's next?

Could it be your favorite name that looks unique now but will be super trendy tomorrow?

What is YOUR guess for the next most popular name?
traditional names seem to be making a come back especially names from Twilight.
Reply:I couldn't even begin to guess... probably something like Jacob or Jason or Jayden or Taegan or something... or one of these really way out there spelled names. =\ I feel bad for those kids...

I hate that my name is soo dang popular! It's ALWAYS being spelled wrong...even by family! It's the original spelling, too: Caitlin. NO ONE spells it right the first time. Yet, everyone can manage to spell my younger cousin Katelynn's name correctly. *sigh*

I know Chase is becoming very popular. That's my older brother's name. Megan/Meghan/Meghann....popular (or was at least)..that's my sister's name. Jacob is next on the list I guess!

I fear the names I like for my future children will be the popular ones later... I dread the thought of that! I don't want my kid to be one of the fifteen "Elliot's" in the grade. Ya know?

Reply:I don't know.. There are some names that will always be popular like Michael.. But all the Jayden/Cayden/Aidens put there will no longer be common. Peoplewill get over it.. I think Grayson will become popular, maybe not haha! I just love that name!! I hope it doesn't become popular.. Chase will be up there too. Girls names... lily will stay up there and so will Hailey. I think the ugly name Emma will stay, and same with Emily. Although I don't know why.. And Katie will always be rodiculously popular. Landon might be popular for a boy.. Again, that might only be because I love this name
Reply:I so hope not. I have no idea what the next trendy name is, but I sure hope it's not my name nor any of the names that I like.
Reply:Those are so popular, and were for the last 10 or so years. These things don't change quickly. My favorite names are Hollis and Addison [for girls] and Addison is kind of popular.

Would you ever name your child a really really popular name?

I've had my girls and boys names picked out for years, and I'm seeing my favorite girl name more and more often. To my horror it was in the top 50 of names this year.

Im afraid by time I have a daughter it will be even more common and over used.

If you were me would you still use the name anyway or pick a different one?

Would you ever name your child a really really popular name?
I wouldn't be too concerned about names in the top 50. Don't let that scare you, it is probably not as common as you think. You can go to www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames and don't just look at the ranking, select the button for number of total births and see how many children were given that name in 2007. Then type the year you were born in the box and select number of total births. Then find what names the year you were born were given to about the same number of people that your favorite name was given to last year. How many people your age do you know with those names? Does that frequency seem too common to you? Check it out, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

And stick with the names you love. Most common names are common for a reason, they are gorgeous! You will regret giving up a name you have loved for years just because it is becoming popular now.
Reply:In the top 50 is not too bad, l would use it. But if it was in the top 10 then l would think hard about using it. My name isn't common and l loved that at school. Out of 150 kids there would be about 3 with my name. So l never wanted to name my child an over popular name.

When l was pregnant with my son l loved this name but everytime l read the births in the newspaper this name kept coming up, it was everyone and seemed to be in the top 10. So we took it off the list.

My son is now 3 1/2 and the name l loved 3 years ago is not used as much now. So names can change a lot in a few years.
Reply:Pick different ones because it could get confusing for the children and in school if there are 2 Lucy's then most likely like they did to my friends child the teacher called one Lucy #1 an the other Lucy #2

I find that really annoying and confusing.

I hope i helped.

If you really like the name then maybe if it's Mary then call her Marine Something alike but not quit the same.
Reply:I admit I'm kinda on the fence but leaning towards not naming my kids after popularized names because I just personally do not like to be like everyone else. I want my children that I am the one raising to learn that it is ok to be daring and different and have strong backbones...

Peace ;)
Reply:Chose a name not so common so when they go to school half the class doesn't have their name. My name is Sharon, which has become very uncommon and not even in the top 500 names anymore. Fine with me. I don't meet that many Sharons anymore.
Reply:No. I feel like your child wouldn't feel like an individual, having the same name as everyone else. This is why many people have backup names. do you have any? i would re consider the name if its that common, it would get annoying.

good luck!
Reply:Who cares? If you like it, then name her that. It's not a big deal if someone else has her name. It might not be as unique, but if you really like it that much, then it is still special
Reply:What's the name?

No, it would not matter to me if I was the one who liked it. Don't forget that if it really bothers you, it can always be the middle-name.
Reply:No I won't. I wanted either Alyssa or Emily but both those names are being used too much this year. Depends how popular it is, I'd choose another.
Reply:I named my daughter Madison. An extremely common name. But I liked it, and it definitely fits her. Call your child whatever you want to!
Reply:I'd keep them. I wouldn't care if the name is slightly common, but if its something like Ashley, then no.
Reply:I would pick another name as well. I like uncommon names better.
Reply:nah go 4 somthin un common an somthin cute too

How to start collecting baseball cards and the most popular name brand of cards to collect.?

I personally would start with an older set if you have a few bucks. They have a lot fewer cards in the set. For example the 1969 Topps set has only 664 cards compared to the thousands of cards in the 2007 Topps set.

You can buy cards from .30 or .40 for the commons to a couple hundred for the stars. Depending on the quality that you want you can complete the whole set for under $700. When you are done you have something worth keeping.

Even if you go back as far as 1951 Topps red backs... the cards are more expensive but there are only like 155 cards.

New baseball cards are like lottery scratch tickets. The only reason to buy a pack for $5 or $10.00 is the hope of pulling the randomally several hundred or thousand dollar card.

How to start collecting baseball cards and the most popular name brand of cards to collect.?
You can actually pick up new cards at Wal Mart or Target but your better off visiting a local card shop or going to a local card show.

Topps is by far the most popular brand for collectors and they go back to 1951. You could purchase the entire 2007 set in one factory box or you could build the set slowly by opening packs.

Also, You can start amassing cards and build some complete sets from years gone by and have a great time doing so.
Reply:Go to your local shop topps is still the best, you should start buying beckett magazine.

Please name some popular female singers I can who sing a very low alto range?

I had my first voice lesson last week and would like to know the names of some popular female singers who sing a low alto to bass range. I like Christian, gospel, jazz, blues and pop music. Also, if you know of some easy songs to learn in this range, I would appreciate it.

Please name some popular female singers I can who sing a very low alto range?
Not to familiar with range so here's my guess.

Is Lily a popular name for little girls?

Parents who have young children starting school - do you see a lot of little girls named Lily? I know statistically it ranked as the 27th most popular name in the US last year (according to SSA), but what do you think? Is it common?

Is Lily a popular name for little girls?
If your worried about naming your baby something.. that is over used... I think your okay. I dont hear the name quite often. My friend just had a baby and she named her daughter Lilly Grace... %26amp; that is the first time I have heard the name in a long time. Lily is a beautiful name BTW
Reply:hey.. well no not really.. my son is going up to school next year and i can honestly say there are no Lilly's in his daycare class... the only name there are 2 of is Elle - well ones Elle, ones Ellie... but they both get called Ellie! My son's daycare class is a big group too!

I love the name Lilly.. i would only ever use it as middle name but i do think its very cute for a little girl! and i know how u feel.. my name is Nicola and there were maybe 5 or 6 others in my year at school.. wish i'd been given a nice unique name like Roxanne or something!
Reply:Lily is a popular name, especially when you combine it with all the Lillys and other varients. I see it mentioned so often, it's only going to get more popular.

I don't like the name anyway, it's cutesy and flaky. I'd prefer something stronger.

Reply:Yes I do know a few Lily's in my area (Somerset, uk).

However, around this area it is also a nick name for a vagina ~

boys have willies

and

girls have lillies

Just a thought if you were considering it as a name!
Reply:I think Lily is a beautiful name. Being a Jennifer, I have the same name as probably 1/2 the people my age, so I really like names that aren't popular but aren't really out there too. Lily is perfect.
Reply:I teach preschool and I am seeing more and more of that name. There are 3 little girls in my class, and they are all spelled differently. There are Lily A., Lilli N., and Lili and Z. that's how we have to address them.
Reply:It is not a popular name nowadays, I do not know any "Lily"s. I'm in highschool, I moved schools 3 times now, and been there for a few weeks each, never seen anyone named Lily.
Reply:Yes i have heard of a lot of people of all ages called lily ( i live in the UK) I don't really like it though because its also a common pet name in the UK lol
Reply:I don't know anyone with the name Lily. My daughter (age 5) doesn't have any kids named Lily in her class. She actually doesn't have any little girls with the same names, but there are 3 Aiden's and 3 Bryce's in her grade!
Reply:I know a lot of Lily's that are young, under ten mostly. I don't know many teenagers or young people named Lily though.

http://www.babynames.com/namelist/938832...
Reply:It's becoming quite popular. One of my friends runs a daycare, and she's got a couple of them for the first time. Within the next 3 or 4 years, there's going to be a ton of them in school.
Reply:I'm not a parent, but I work with preschoolers and have done so since 2006; I have only come across one girl named Lily. I'm 20, and I actually know more girls named Lily who are my age than little girls.
Reply:I work at a school where I help teach first grade. I don't see too many lilys in the class. I've had one in my class last year. I think that name is so beautiful.
Reply:I don't know a Lily.

It's one of my favourite names. I love it. Hey, who cares whether its popular. Go for it!

xx
Reply:I don't think it's all that popular of a name. I worked in a daycare during the summer, and there wasn't one Lily.
Reply:No, I don't think it is very common but I also live in Scotland. I love the name Lily but I have never met anyone with that name.
Reply:I think it is common however I don't hear it much in schools like elementary and preschool but I think it is rich and vibrant so go for it!
Reply:Not currently. I definately think its on the rise. SSA ranked it #69 in 2003 and it was #27 in 2007..
Reply:Lilly is coming back into fashion I've just had a baby and there is loads of people having birth this yr calling there girls Lilly, its a lovely name
Reply:I know only one Lily, who is roughly 12.

I've grown fond of the spelling "Lilly", just personal preference. :)
Reply:Yes Lily is common, but such a beautiful and delicate name for a girl.
Reply:The only Lily I know of is Lily Winters on Y%26amp;R on TV. No little girls or otherwise here in TX.

Reply:My nieces name is Lily and she is about 1 1/2. I know that I wouldn't want to send my child to school with 5 other kids with the same name.
Reply:I see the name Lily on here a lot but I only know 1 person with the name...
Reply:I honestly havent heard Lily at all but its a beautiful name.
Reply:I have honestly never met anyone named Lily, it's such a pretty name though!
Reply:the only lillies i know are 90 year olds in nursing homes.
Reply:I don't know anyone called Lily.

Its such a pretty name though!
Reply:I only know of 2. One her real name is Lilliana, but they call her Lilli and the is a puppy.
Reply:Why does that matter?
Reply:My daugher's name is Lillian and we call her Lillybug :)

Can you name any popular songs that reflected their time period?

The song has to give a feel of the time period.

Can you name any popular songs that reflected their time period?
ooh do u mean like "Doing that thing you do" and "Happy Together" and so many many beatles songs for the 60s feel, n "My Generation" and "Iron Man" from the early 1970s? n "Stayin Alive" 4 the late 1970s early 80s disco movement... The the U2 and Bon Jovi songs of the like "With Or Without You" and "You Give Love a Bad name" for the mid and late 80s... "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Basketcase", "Wonderwall", "The Fly", "Bittersweet Symphony", n all those other boy band and spice girls songs from the 90s... n "In the end" and "Lose Yourself" u cant leave out that 1 from the early 2000s hehe... but from the 2000s it becomes a bit like more repetitive, except if you look at a few artists like maybe Greenday n U2 n the rise of Linkin Park and Coldplay, n some like that and put a bar on most rap n hip hop(not my preference)cause i dont like rap music so much), but rap n hip hop gained most prominence only in the post 2000s... So i think post 2000 every 3 weeks or so u got people saying this song is the best n so on, or maybe its just cause we live in that time, so post 2002 i think you cant really identify it with 1 or a handfull of songs...

Do you like parents choice pampers or popular name brands like huggies or pampers brand?

I just bought a pack of newborn parents choice pampers today at walmart. So I am seeing if I like them or not. You do get 80 pampers in a pack for about $11. So I decided to try them. I like huggies the best so far before.

Do you like parents choice pampers or popular name brands like huggies or pampers brand?
Well, I hated parents choice diapers, they didn't stretch enough, huggies are my favorite by far. She's 9 months old and we've been using huggies for about 8 or her 9 months. We get the 100 count and they last her almost a month, so in the long run, you're actually saving money!

I love parents choice wipes and other products, just not the diapers.
Reply:I like huggies gentle care. I hate huggies snug and dry, they are huge and puffy and leave little crystal pieces from the diaper on him when it gets wet, and gets even puffier when wet. I tired pampers and he leaked. I haven't tried parents choice. Also, I find that at babies r us the diapers are cheaper and you get more. They often give out coupons too. I got one for if I buy a box of diapers and a box of wipes I got $7 off. I like to buy in bulk because it's cheaper and I have to go to the store less.

**********I have also heard that huggies are good for boys and pampers are good for girls.********
Reply:The Parent's Choice as well as the other WalMart brand White Cloud both did not work for either of my three babies. They gave my first a rash and leaked very badly with my second and third babies. With my first I used to try the different store brands and I found that the CVS brand was the best, and I used to get her the BJs brand as well. They both worked fine with her. With my second she could only use Pamper's everything else gave her a rash. I prefered Pamper's Premium with her. When I had my son he peed right through all the cheap brands I tried and even Pamper's. For him the only thing that would fit his shape and not leak were Huggies.
Reply:Pampers.. they are my fav so far and if it is easy to find coupons for 1.50 off everywhere.. esp if you sign up on the web site.. also if you buy the ones that come in a big box it is only about 20 bucks.. and you get about 80-100 diapers which is the same as you said for 11 but this usually lasts me about 2 weeks or so.. and 20 bucks for 2 weeks for some good nice soft diapers I think is well worth it esp w/ a coupon.. and if you get down to it 20 bucks for 100 diapers is only about 5 cents per diaper.. not to bad..never personally tried parents choice.. tried luvs for awhile didn't mind them but you can tell the quality difference.. they aren't as soft and they explode a lot easier..(meaning through the night)
Reply:I've tried them all and I liked Luvs best until about 6 months when they stopped lasting overnight, plus you can get them online for super cheap. I don't like most huggies because they're so bulky but I'm trying out the "stops leaks" ones and they seem to be ok. However! I tried White Cloud just today and they are almost identical to the Huggies I've got.

Haha. who knows..
Reply:I liked parent's choice with my first daughter, but they changed the design and all (to make it cheaper) so when i had my second daughter, i noticed that every dirty diaper she had went out the back of the diaper. we are now using white cloud and have been since my 2nd was 4 months old. i like it just fine and its not too expensive (a dollar or so more a bag than parent's choice)
Reply:Huggies newborn were what I liked with my son but he was chunky..

my daughter is not that chunky and the pampers are working perfect for her right now..

I prefer those 2 brands until they are older and not going to the bathroom so often..

My son just turned 2 and he wears target brand now And I love them.

He doesnt tend to have "explosions" anymore

Reply:I use huggies most of the time. But I bounce between huggies, pampers, and luvs. I see which one has the lower price for the most diapers since most stores have a lot of specials (especially now) I check between different stores as well. And I won't buy any without a coupon! haha.
Reply:I tried the Parents Choice, but she pees through them! LOL

She's allergic to Huggies. Also tried White Cloud, and they just don't fit right. Finally tried Pampers Swaddlers, and they are PERFECT!!! They're soft and very strong.

(Yes, we have tried ALOT of diapers!! LOL)
Reply:I prefer Huggies on my new granddaughter of 8 months old. I preferred them when my sons, now mid twenties, were babies. They just seem to keep the babies bottoms drier, can't put a price on your babies comfort. Since they can't complain to you about it, you would have no way of knowing.
Reply:I used huggies for a while, then switched to parents choice. I liked the huggies when my son was little, but as he got older, he was ripping them off as soon as he peed or pooped so I switched to parents choice because you get more for less $$!!!
Reply:I liked huggie for when my baby was newborn until he could fit into the size 2's now we get pampers cruisers, since he will be crawling soon. My experience with parents choice is that they tend to leak all the time. I give a thumbs down to parents choice diapers!
Reply:parents choice STINKS!!!!i currently have my son in them because we bought a pack and i dont want to waste them but he leaks seriously at least twice a day i have to put him in pampers to go to bed. i will never buy them again
Reply:We've tried them all %26amp; found that huggies are best for us.. They are more expensive but they just look more comfy if you know what i mean lol plus we have never had a leakage or nappy rash using them where as there has been some disasters with cheaper brands.
Reply:I like pampers better than huggies so far. But I only have 5 weeks experience lol.

I perfer the pampers swaddlers!
Reply:I use the Target Brand diapers and they work great!! I used to use Pampers Cruisers %26amp; Baby Dry with my first, but I found that these work just the same.
Reply:My friend who's babies are 15 months apart...switched to Parent's Choice after she had her 2nd baby...and she says they are similiar to Huggies...

We use Pampers with our baby....
Reply:I just bought Huggies and Pampers. My daughter is a week shy of four months and we have been using LUVS. I LOOVE the Pampers...they are so soft and hold everything in really good.
Reply:I only buy Huggies diapers and Huggies wipes.
Reply:I like Parent's Choice, and have been using them for three months. Can't beat the price!!

My daughter has NEVER had diaper rash or a leaky Parent's Choice diaper, just for the record!
Reply:I LOVE parents choice diapers. They work just as good as name brands but are way cheaper.
Reply:I have tried.. luvs , parents choice , huggies, etc and I feel I like pampers baby dry the best!!
Reply:i like pampers but the huggie's cotton soft ones are great, pampers are great for sleeping all night
Reply:I prefer cloth, personally. They're so much nicer on baby's skin, and you save a bundle in the long run!
Reply:i like huggies best too. the pampers baby dry are ok too.
Reply:I use pampers - my boy is very comfy and hasn't leaked through

What is a popular name for an African American slave during the time of the Civil War?

The surname many times was the name of the owner, the first name could be anything that they owner wanted.

I think most common were normal "Christian" names like Thomas, James etc. Some people gave their slaves names from Antiquity, Greek or Roman names, like Marcus, Cassius etc.

The website below has some background and examples. You can always look up registers of slaves to find names.

Reply:I prefer the Pampers. As far as diaper bags, I have never carried one because I didn't need a bottle to lug around because I breastfed. I put my kids diapers and baby wipes on the inside of her carseat underneath the seat cover on the side. I always carry a big enough purse to put her extras in it . I have used a tote bag. I would prefer a tote bag over the other diaper bags. I don't like big bags or to carry alot of stuff with my kids but I do make sure that I am prepared.
Reply:Luvs, Pampers, Huggies....I totally prefer the tote bags. Unless we are on a long trip and have to pack alot, then I might use a backpack type diaper bag.
Reply:Carters!!
Reply:Tote bags because they are more spacious. and as fars as diapers do'nt use the expensive ones use the ones that work. don't throw your money away.
Reply:huggies and luvs are good and reasonably priced
Reply:I think the best kind have a long enough strap to put over one shoulder and over your neck, try not to get one you have to hold with your hands. Backpacks are good, it's between those and the long straps, depends on your personal preference. Name brand isn't that important, my $45(the most expensive one I had) one broke in less than a month, I bought a PUMA soccer bag (very cute, almost backpack shaped but it instead has one long strap and a handle for one handed carrying) and it's extremely sturdy and stylish (obviously, it's made for athletes), I also have the one the hospital gave us for free (Enfamil brand). Both of the ones I currently have are still in excellent shape and I've been using them constantly for 8 months.

Reply:I cannot stand most names that are spelled differently. So many names are ruined by the crazy spellings.

I have a little girl now in my class who spells her name Dalilah. It drives me crazy that its not either Delilah or Dalila.

Oh, and Emmilleigh drives me insane. The father had it tatooed on his arm.

Shanen is a bad way to spell Shannon too. I always want to call her Shane-in.

I also don't care for 2 d's in Maddison either.

The worst would have to be this adorable little boy that had not so adorable parents. His name was Hayden...very cute BUT he spelled it Heydyn. The spelling of his name was the least of the problems though...

I am sure I have a million more if I just think about it. :)

Why is Tiki such a popular name for chinchillas?
One person named thiers Tiki %26amp; told people, then everyone else thought it was cute %26amp; it spread....I'm assuming that's how Buddy got so popular for dogs...my mom named ours Buddy because her friend in high school had a dog named Buddy! Now I hear it all over.
Reply:It's not just a popular names for chinchillas but for other pets as well. I have a green Cheek Conure named "Tgo" he can't mimic that so he says "Tiki" instead it's cute though.

Popular names I've heard for chinchillas are "Chilly" %26amp; "Chilla"

How come Perineum is such a popular name for boys these days?

How come Perineum is such a popular name for boys these days?
So that when the little guy asks mom how he got his name, she can show him the stitches.

Reply: Well Perineum holds the poular and trendy nn of Perry and with poular designers like Perry Ellis and the Perrys brand icecream, is there any wonder why this name is so desireable? Any chance that this may become a unisex name? I kind of like it for my little girl I'm expecting...well one can hope!
Reply:I adore this one Slap. In fact, I have named several of my children this already. I think it's so popular since celebrities use this name so much. It's certainly a trendy up and coming name. I live in a small town and know about 15 of them already. People like to combine it with Nevaeh for a middle (heaven spelled backwards). How could you not love that?!
Reply:i think its because some celebrity named thier kid that, all these parents are now jumping on the perineum bandwagon. its like how the name labia was popular a couple of years ago. these parents just cant be original anymore.
Reply:I'm actually really sick of that name. There are 7 Perineums in my sons daycare class. But I guess its kind of pretty and it means "middle of the road" in my culture.
Reply:hahaha Slappy, I ask myself this all the time.

It's upsetting, because I named my kid this WAY before it became popular....

Mika seems to be a popular name for peopel of both sexes around the world. What does it mean, though?

There's the singer (male and Lebanese) and I've known of a Japanese girl and a Malaysian girl with this name.

I'm sure I know of others but I can't think of them right now.

Mika seems to be a popular name for peopel of both sexes around the world. What does it mean, though?
Female

Japanese - new moon

Russian - God's child

Native American - wise racoon

Hebrew - form of Micah

Latin - form of Dominica

Male

Ponca - raccoon

Hebrew - form of Micah (Micha - short for Michael - who is like God?)

Russian - familiar form of Michael
Reply:Mika is one of those words that means something in lots of different languages.

There is a Hebrew name spelled Micah, which means "who is like Jehova" it could be an alternate spelling of that.

It is also a Native America word that means raccoon.

In Finnish it is a short form of the name Mikael (Michael).

It probably means something in many other languages as well or could be a variation of other simmilar sounding names.
Reply:Mika (MEE kah) is a Japanese girl's name meaning "Beautiful smell". It's English meaning is "Who is like God?"

As a boy's name, Mika is a Finnish short form of Mikael (MEE kyl), the Finnish form of Michael. It also means "Who is like God?"

There is also the Hebrew name, Micah (MY kah) also meaning "Who is like God?".

Of all of them, I prefer Micah, and only for a boy.

The origin of the name Mika is Native American
Reply:Meaning: New moon

What is the formal (scientific) and popular name of the tropical palm?

long slender ,succulent,elegent... the tropical palm.

i think its so famous and widely used in north america right? which part of N america is considered to be tropic and can this kind of palm be successfully transplanted into non-tropical region ? (specifically: middle east lets say Arabian Gulf region or Dubai)

What is the formal (scientific) and popular name of the tropical palm?
Those trees are most-likely not native. I honestly don't hink any palms are native to North America (I could be wrong). The ones you have pictured are not Mexican fan palms, but the ones you say are tall, slender, elegant, are probably Mexican fan palms. There are often planted in California and Arizona. You need more information to correctly ID the trees.
