What is the name of that popular coffee maker? ?

My neighbor had this hot chocolate/coffee maker at her house and I can't remember the company name. It can pour 3 different sized cups and fills your cup with hot water. I think the name could have been Aurig?

What is the name of that popular coffee maker? ?
I believe you are talking about Keurig coffee maker. If it can brew three different sizes, then it's most likely to be the Keurig B60. You can read all about it in here:

The runner up was Centerville in 45 states, followed by Fairview (43 states), Franklin (42), Midway (40), Fairfield (39), Pleasant Valley (39), Troy (39), Liberty (38), and Union (38). Springfield isn't even in the top ten (only 35 states have a Springfield).

"Muhammad is the second most popular name for baby boys in Britain. What about baby girls?
I don't think there are many baby girls being named Muhammad in Britain or elsewhere.
Reply:Muhammadieta
Reply:If that is the case then there are a lot more muslim's living in Britain than the government is letting on to. I know white people are not calling their sons that. I know most black people are not calling their sons that. I know nearly every muslim calls their son that and most muslim's in Britain are Asian Paki's or Middle East area in general and they love to call ther sons muhammad. So if that is the case, that Muhammad is the second most popular name for baby boys in Britain, then the government is obviously lying about how many people, especially of middlle eastern descent that they are allowing into the country. GREAT NEWS!

Could you name me ten popular dishes and two deserts you will find in restaurants in Singapore?

If you're really asking what are 10 popular local dishes then it might look something like this. You probably would not find all this in 1 restaurant but rather in a hawker centre or food court with a variety of stalls:

1) Char Kway Teow (Fried Rice Noodles)

2) Hainanese Chicken Rice

3) Chilli Crab

4) Fried Carrot Cake (Fried radish flour cakes)

5) Barbecued Stingray

6) Laksa (Noodles in spicy soup with coconut milk)

7) Roti Prata (Pancake-like bread with curry)

8) Fish Head Curry

9) Mee Goreng (Spicy fried noodles)

10) Satay (Barbecued skewered meat)

Dessert

1) Ice Kacang (Shaved ice with palm seed, red bean etc)

2) Cheng Tng (Chinese dessert with longan, lotus seed, dates etc)

Could you name me ten popular dishes and two deserts you will find in restaurants in Singapore?
In restaurants?

1. Sushi

2, Sashimi

3. Steak

4. Pizza

5. Green Curry

6. Pasta

7. Kimchi Soup

8. Ramen

9. Buddha Jump over the Wall

10. Bird Nest Soup

Dessert

Why is Esme such a popular name?

why is Esme such a popular name in books? yet i don't know anyone named Esme.

Why is Esme such a popular name?
It was popular a long time ago. That would be why it's in books where the characters are older. For example: Esme Cullen was born in the late 1800's or early 1900's. That name was popular then
Reply:Ignore the idiots claiming Esme was once a popular name. It's never been a popular name till recently, it was an obscure name.

Esme is a cool name because J.D. Salinger used it in the title of a short story. Since Salinger has long been in the pantheon of cool, it is by association cool to reference Salinger in a backhanded way. That's why it has enjoyed a recent popularity in books and pop music.
Reply:For Esme - With Love and Squalor was by J.D Salinger, but I don't think it's a particularly popular name within literature, no more than any other name. I guess it's just because it's a bit more unusual than Elizabeth or Katherine, so it stands out. I do know one girl called Esme though.

His name ? His accent ? Or his tan?

A combination of all could easily be Greece. But the name is not all that popular. In contrast, Italy is also a candidate if he was Vittorio, and so is for Spain.

Clear therefore, if he is Victor or Vittorio. And also, that he is not Victoria.

How do I talk to a popular girl that doesnt know your name?

Im trying to talk to this hot girl. She doesnt know my name but i have her msn and facebook. We have soccer in common and I want to start a convo with without looking like i like her or something. I want to her to know my name and i want to talk to her in school aswell. Help?

How do I talk to a popular girl that doesnt know your name?
dont stalk her while your planning on what to say... creepy! haha.

just start with a homework question or a random question about something on her facebook/ idk. and if shes comments back and it sounds like shes interested then continue the convo. or stop if she doesnt sound interested or you'll never have a chance.
Reply:first things first Introduce yourself be like hey nice game last night you guys smoked them or to bad you lost (depending on the out come of the game and depending if she plays soccer at school or on a team make sure u are at the game!! watching it ) she will make a comment and read off it if its a good sign play along talk to for alittle bit then be like oh sorry i dont think i caught your name (even if you know it she will tell you and then you can tell her your name) its actually a good way to start talking to some one
Reply:go up to her and act like you would with anyone else be yourself but also act like this is the first time you really noticed her talk like you are just trying to be nice but don't talk that much say something she will always remember like oh your eyes are (what ever color they are) but then say like my sisters or something if she is standing with some one else tell them say it to both of them unless it is a guy say cool shoes or something when you leave try not to look at her but wave next time you see her act like nothing happened don't acnolig her but late come up to her and say your the (what ever eye color she is) girl she will remember
Reply:Don't do something completely stupid like trip over in front of her because she'll think your clumsy.

Just go up to her and have a chat. Give her a compliment or something.

And if you've seen her playing soccer tell her she's really good.

Good Luck!!
Reply:Dont start the conversation with soccer .

Definitly dont call her hot , if shes popular she probably knows As. s holes ..

so just start conversation at random .
Reply:Walk up to her and talk to her

She will most likely talk back

And when you are not around she'll think of you

Then you'll become her boyfriend

EASY

E-mail as soon as this prediction comes true

Reply:try to impress her at soccer,

then when she scores, tell her 'great shot!'

then just walk away...then if she talks to you then your problem is solved!!!

Why do people think just because they wear name brand clothing that they are popular?

seriously, i mean i wear it too. but them people think they are better than you because of what they wear. do u have ppl like that at your school or know what i am talking about?

Why do people think just because they wear name brand clothing that they are popular?
Cause they are lame and superficial. 'Look at me I have money that I like blowing just to be a walking advertisment for a cookie cutter company' YAY! What fun!
Reply:so true EVERYONE esp when they r young fall victims to mainstream fashion. personally i prefer individuality with labels or without, as long u dont look like a sheep whos following the crowd
Reply:yeah i know what you mean, people try to hold it over other's heads, but i think it's overrated
Reply:Clothes do not make the person. Personality does. People, that think like that, they won't go far in life. As long, as what someone wears is neat and clean and they shower. That is all that should really matter. Life is too short, to sweat the small stuff.
Reply:thats so true.

it doesnt even matter what u wear

the retarded girls that showoff that wear it wanna fit in.

but the truth is, they wanna be known as rich

the girl ontop of me is right

u grow out of it, so why even buy it in general pplss?~!?~!?~!?~!?
Reply:really lame, i hate people like that.
Reply:well that depends if you are refering to ACTUAL name brand or actual designer labels such as Michael Khors, and Marc Jacobs, Juicy, Besty Johnson, Missoni, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Dolce and Gabana, must i continue? but no i don't notice that because i go to a school full of preps, so no one really notices these things unless you are into fashion, like i am.
Reply:People will always use some crteria or other to unfairly judge others.

After high school/college it becomes more about Degrees/certifications, income, year and model of a person's car, neighborhood a person lives in, etc.

Get used to it-- its not going away.
Reply:its because only pretty people wear it and therefore that is what seperates them from everybody else. if your pretty, you want to look your best so you buy nice clothes
Reply:kinda, cuz they wear all the abercrombie and stuff like that. at my skool, pple are rich, except me, and they an afford to buy things like that. i like vintage and funky different stuff, but sumtimes pple think its weird becuz its different. they think they r better cuz everyone else the same thing, but pple need to realize that wuts different about pple is wut makes them cool.
Reply:I wear name brand cause it's better made supposedly
Reply:They just think they are better because brand names are more expensive and when people see them wearing those clothes, it makes them think that they are rich. Who cares about all that, seriously? It doesn't matter what you are wearing because you are gonna grow out of it next year!
Reply:they just want to fit in.
Reply:idkn thats just how ppl are
Reply:well if stuff is more expensive then they'll think they're rich and better than everyone. i hate peole like that
Reply:Because most people who are popular wear name brand clothing. They just put two and two together.

Reply:omg this comes up soo much. i agree i hate it but i have to admit i wear all the a%26amp;f and hco and stuff and i sometimes put down people that don't have the brands. " ... and she doesnt even have good clothes" i always say that and i always feel bitchy after =(

Reply:It is a display of wealth. Lots of people do that, just not all with clothing. It doesn't end with teenagers either. Just ask any Dad-type guy if they would prefer to be driving a minivan over an SUV?
Reply:No they don't.

And if you wanna make stereotypes about yourself then go right ahead. You'll just sound stupid along the way.

Maybe some people are like that, but not everyone. Some people who wear target thing their better then everyone. It has to do with the person, not the brand. Maybe it all comes down to the fact that their probably wealthy. But still, there are middle class people who think their better. It just comes down to the person, and how they were raised.
Reply:I hate how people do that. I mean, I wear it, but I don't think I'm popular. There's this one girl who doesn't wear ANYTHING but Abercrombie, and she keeps trying to sit with the popular girls. People call her "moosie" (you know, like massie from the clique, only moose cause of all the A%26amp;F) behind her back.
Reply:because that's what our society is all about...pathetic...people have no sense of self...it's all about copying what the latest celeb is wearing...even tho these people have outrageous amounts of money, trainers and cooks to keep them thin...and are airbrushed in most publications. But we all want to be just like them

Playstation

Playstation 2

Playstation 3

XBOX

Neo Geo (cost about $500 back in the early 90's)

Panasonic 3DO (if you can find one)
Reply:The only popular consoles in my opinion starting from NES to PS3 are:

SNES

Playstation 1

Playstation 2

Playstation 3

Xbox 360

I chose the Playstation consoles being the popular consoles because the PS1 sold over 100 million consoles world wide and the PS2 sold over 120 million consoles worldwide and the PS2 is still selling. And I think that the PS3 will have very high sales as well just like the PS1 and PS2, it's only a matter of time.

I really don't think that any other consoles were popular because some of them were short-lived (Sega Dreamcast, Sega Gensis, N64, etc...) The Playstation consoles have been the most successful and popular without a doubt

How did the name Lucas get so suddenly popular?

I named my son Lucas. I love it. I found it by poring over baby name books. His father and I could not accept any other male name....in the end, it was nothing but Lucas. I never had met a Lucas or heard of a Lucas before. And I was an elementary school teacher.

So suddenly, I started hearing about a lot of people who named their sons Lucas. Also, it started turning up on this site.

So, what is going on? Mommy mind control? Zeitgeist?

How did the name Lucas get so suddenly popular?
Well I have never seen One Tree Hill, and I'm not so sure that that is the reason. I don't know anybody with a child that watches that show (it's more for younger teenagers). But I know a couple of Lucas's that are around 14-17 and I live in Los Angeles. Maybe it's a coincidence that you hadn't heard it? I'm not sure.

I personally LOVE the name though.
Reply:well did u anounce on here what you were gonna name hime beacause that gets it aroun quickly i had only heard the name Emma once and it was my great great grandma and then i pit it on here that i ould like like to name my child that and seemed like with in a couple weeks it as very popular so i thought about Emily and it also got popular but i had heard that name more so i ended up nameing my now 9 year old daughter Emlyn and for the first time about 5 mins ago i saw it on here and it has been about a week scense i have posted my 3 childrens names

Reply:one of the main characters on One Tree Hill is named Lucas. I guess it caught on. Sort of like Aiden because of Sex and the City.

Is the name Keanu popular in Hawaii?

I just had my son last August and I named him Keanu.

As far as I know the name Keanu is not really known here the mainland. (except if you're talking Reeves!)

Everyone is always stumped when I first tell tell them my son's name. I have to always correct their pronounciation.

So is the name Keanu common in Hawaii?

Is the name Keanu popular in Hawaii?
If you live in the mainland and you named your son Keanu then you're right, probably the only other one people have heard of is Keanu Reeves. Here in Hawaii the name Keanu is popular, but more as a nickname or middle name than a first name. For instance, I know a guy whose first name is John and whose middle name is Keanu. But everyone calls him Keanu...just because that's kind of the "local" style. I'd say about 1 out of 30 guys here will have the name Keanu. Names like Koa, Ikaika, and Mana are the most popular for boys in Hawaii, basically 1 out of 5 boys here are named that!

I congratulate you on being different and naming your son Keanu. Whenever I am watching movies or tv or visiting the mainland and I see or hear a Hawaiian name it always peaks my interest (like now I watch that show on MTV called Taquita and Kaui because "Kaui" is a Hawaiian name....) because its unique and I like that!
Reply:I wouldn't say that it's one of the most popular ones.....but yes, it is used here in Hawaii though it's usually used as part of something else as Keanu litterally means the cold.

Baby Name Predictions - What will be popular 20 years from now?

Names seem to go in cycles. 20 years ago, Emma, Hannah and Ava were considered stuffy old lady names. They'd been popular when our great-grandmothers were having kids. Now they've been recycled and sound new and fresh again. But in 80 years, they'll be back in the nursing home.

So what will OUR kids by naming their sons and daughters 20-30 years from now?

Baby Name Predictions - What will be popular 20 years from now?
Since the "old lady names" are coming back for our time (Lillian, Cora, Emily, etc) I think the names that were popular in the 60s will be back in 20 years. I think Nancy, Carol, Karen, Pamela, Cynthia, etc. will be names of our grandkids and our grandkids friends.
Reply:Laura Wattenberg of the Baby Name Wizard wrote an interesting blog entry on this. Basically there is what she calls the "great-grandma rule" which means that we tend to choose names that our great-grandparents might have had. That is why there is a resurgence at the moment of names like Isabella, Rose, Sophia, Hannah and Emily and Jacob, William, and Joseph.

Wattenberg says that it generally takes around 120+ years to see a name pass through two full cycles so in 20 years we will be seeing names that were popular around 1908. According to Social Security these were the 20 most popular male and female names for 1908

1. John

2 William

3 James

4 George

5 Robert

6 Joseph

7 Charles

8 Frank

9 Edward

10 Thomas

11 Henry

12 Walter

11 Florence

12 Ethel

13 Lillian

14 Frances

15 Gladys

James, Henry, Grace and Louise are nice but I'm not sure I want to see a resurgence of Clarence and Edna.

Reply:yeah i think old people names will be back like drothory and gwendalen for girls
Reply:Yes but those ''stuffy old names are '' golden oldies and will remain popular .. such as the names you mentioned plus, Emily a very old name really and only just recently in one English speaking country Emily which has been and is the nr. 1 most popular girls name has now been replace by Ava, Eva is following closely behind, Emma, Samatha is popular and some names will always be around such as Alexandra, Victoria, Rebecca, Hannah, Victoria, Elizabeth, Katherine or Catherine, Sophie or Sofia.. those names will still be popular in 20 years from now. and the biblical names also will survive

Joshua, Thomas, Mark. Luke or Lucas, Matthew, John,, etc.

Alexander will be there, Edward, William, Ann or Anna and Rose and Grace, Maria now more than Mary but Mary or Marie are very popular also and old names.

The trendy names of today are the ones that won't be here because in 20 years they will be replaced by new trendy names but the others.. they will remain popular some more some less. The top list will change in the next 20 years and what is now the most popular non trendy name may go down on the list but these evergreens here will be on top 100 list...even if they may sound stuffy to some but the will and have shown that those are the names that survive and the trendy names will not be popular in 20 years ...Jayden and Kayden will be gone...So will be Nevaeh spealling ''Heaven backwards...At present this name is on nr 49 of the popular name list but this won't stay.. that is a trendy name and has no future in 20 years..''The ''Stuffy' the golden oldie names will still be leading the list of popular names.. plus all the biblical names and apart from that new trendy names will come into fashion within the next 20 or 30 years and those who don't like names that have survived centuries will pick the then new trendy names which won't be the same as the ones of today..xx

You only have to take a look at this list of Victorian names popular 130 years ago.. some of them are no longer popular and are not used anymore.. but some have stayed and if those of them on this list who were popular 130 years ago.. they who still are popular now will remain so 30 years into the future..

Is Sophia really the most popular girls name right now?

I have heard that Sophia was the most popular name for 2007. How many babies do you know of that have been named Sophia (or variations of the name like Sophie or Sofia)?

Is Sophia really the most popular girls name right now?
Ava is the most popular.
Reply:yep I know a few ! I personally dont like this name But I think Karly is worse lol
Reply:We won't know the most popular name for girls in 2007 until May when the Department of Social Security releases the list, but I've heard that Madison will be most likely be #1 up from #3, even though it's declining in popularity, the #1 and #2 names Emily and Emma are declining in popularity much faster.
Reply:i dont think its no. 1...but its probably in the top 10 or so..

i only know 1 Sophia (5 years old) and 1 Sophia (14 years old)

i love the name Sophia though
Reply:I read in a newspaper article recently that Sophia was the number one girls name in the U.S. However, I personally do not know any babies by that name.

I have a cat named Sophia that is 3 years old. She's a siamese and I just thought she was kinda elegant like Sophia Loren. Where everyone else got the name, I have no idea.

I think the number 2 name was Isabella and I know tons of Isabella's.
Reply:I don't think I know any Sophias/Sophies besides my dog :D
Reply:it's the number 9 name

http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/

It IS super popular....there will definatly be a classmate with the name at some point. I know 2 sophia's and 1 sophie.

however it's popular for a reason so if you can stand yelling sophie/sophia on a playground and ocassionally having another girl come running, then i say go for it!
Reply:I dont thikn it was number one, but it was in the top ten. I know probably about four kids with that name. Try, Sienna, Samantha.
Reply:It reminds me of a Sofa..... anyway it is very very trendy nowadays. It was the 3rd most popular, I believe for 2007 :-)
Reply:i dont think it is, ive heard way more Ava/Eva, Abigail, Grace, Olivia and of course the whole Hayden/Cayden/Aiden/layden thing

edit: just checked it out and it is number 1 according to Babycenter.com, i dont know anyone with that name though.

http://www.babycenter.com/0_100-most-pop...
Reply:If not number one, it's surely in the top 5. I think it's a gorgeous name and apparently everyone else does too! But I would never name my daughter Sophia at this time because it's so popular.

I know around 4.
Reply:The hideous Emily and Emma are probably number one and two, as always. Sophia is most likely at least on the top ten.
Reply:Yup. It was. I don't personally know any, but all the babies I know born in 07 were boys. (3 of which are named Aidan/Aiden...)
Reply:Most popular italian name dear =)

What name brand clothes do popular people wear in middel school!

just wondering and dont say u dont need to be popular be urself cause myself is popular!

What name brand clothes do popular people wear in middel school!
well i was super popular in middle school, and i wore abercrombie and fitch, hollister (even though hollister is kinda trashy now), lacoste, guess, victoria's secret, juicy, burberry, dolce%26amp;gabbana, true religion and i was never caught without a coach tote (i have tons lol). don't shop at only hollister because you'll look like a skank clone. the only things that are good to get at hollister are polos, button-down shirts, jean mini-skirts, printed mini-skirts (like the one with the birds all over it, i have it (: ) but that's ALL. if you want the good stuff, go to the places i mentioned above. don't be an outcast!
Reply:The popular people that you want to hang out with are always wearing name brands. Hollister and Abercrombie are very common. It really helps if you can tell it is from those stores. Don't listen to the people that tell you not to wear anything with the names. A designer bag is also a must!!! Having one expensive purse that you always have with you really helps. My favorite are juicy couture bags. I have three. As long as you always look cute, and are confident, you can be one of the popular people, but you should buy abercrombie, hollister, and a designer bag for sure!!!
Reply:Well there is always american eagle and hollister but if you want to be ahead of the fashion loop and not be a look alike try diffrent shops there is always deliahs you can bargain shop and jc penny's (i know bargain shopping sucks but beleive me you get more for your money and if you know where to shop you will find the cute stuff!) there is also victorias secret they have adoreable shirts! umm just shop around everywhere! its more fun to have variety in your closet!
Reply:I'm in middel school (7th grade) and I'm really popular...um let me see. I wear some Hollister (nothing with "Hollister") written on it. And some Abercrombie, (only navy). I also wear ALOT of hot Hot Topic clothes (Im kind of in to the "scene" style), and Delia's is awesome too!
Reply:ughh typical middle schoolers.

trust me I have been there, you are going to be miserable if you try to be popular and cool instead of just living your life.

but if miserable is what you like

then go for hollister, abercrombie and american eagle.

even though, that is what everybody wears and it gets really old.

have funn blending in.
Reply:Well if you are willing to spend the money then go for designer jeans.. sevens, true religions, citizens, rock and republic, joes, etc. They are quite expensive though ($150 to $250 a pair). Also you would benefit from a juicy couture outfit. If you are on a budget, then go for abercrombie, hollister, and american eagle.
Reply:If your asking you aren't popular you don't try to be popular you just are if you have to ask your trying and that makes you not popular.I would know i did the same thing and got them same answer.
Reply:Well, im done with middle school

and all that popular stuff was crap

but

i guess.

it was mostly

Abercrombie %26amp; Fitch

Hollister

Juicy Couture

American Eagle

annnd yeahh.

those were the major brands.

Reply:seven for all mankind, joe's, chip and pepper, rock and republic, juicy, lacoste, citizens of humanity, free people, ralph lauren POLO, abercrombie and fitch, hollister.
Reply:Hollister, Abercrombie %26amp; Fitch, American Eagle, Wet Seal, Forever 21, Delia*s, PacSun (Roxy, Billabong, Fox, Tilly, ect.)

Reply:I'm going to 8th grade and me and my friends are pretty popular.

We wear aeropostale (occasionally), american eagle, hollister, abercrombie and fitch, some pacsun, and victoria secret (sweats)
Reply:If you're popular, you wouldn't be asking this question.

Besides, popular people don't wear just certain name brands. They wear what flatter them and is something they like.
Reply:it was always limited too and abercrombie and fitch for me when I was in middle school. But i don't know if that's how it still is, that was almost 8 years ago.
Reply:baby phat,phat farm,ency,echo,holister,jordan fusion,south pole,nike,adidas,rockwear,g-unit,aeropsa... polo
Reply:There's this special magical brand for them, if you don't know about it then you can't really be popular, now, can you? ;)
Reply:I'm in middle school and it goes a bit something like this:

Abercrombie %26amp; Fitch

Hollister..

big choices.

Get your own style.

XoXO,

- %26lt;3
Reply:i am not popular but i wear dark or colored skinny jeans converse black tees and big teased hair.

all the popular people wear preppy things its gross

dont try to be popular

be yourself x)
Reply:Most people wear Hollister, Abercombie, Aeropostale, and American Eagle in middLE school.

~I don't know why you are yelling at me.
Reply:hollister, abercrombie%26amp;fitch, fox, hurley, o'neil, like anything from pacsun or tillys
Reply:Hollister,Oakley,Armani Exchange,DKNY Jeans......
Reply:I wear Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, and Anchor Blue'

Reply:hollister, american eagle, abercombie, pacsun.
Reply:ummmmm........ it depends on what school, really. ours is hollister. i don't have any, yet. waaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Noelle starting to become a popular middle name for girls?

I think so.

My teacher's baby's name is Shaylee Noelle.

Her daughter that she had a few years ago that died was named Mackenna Noelle.

A girl in my class's name is Elizabeth Noelle.

I love the name Noelle, but it is really popular now! I can see why; it seems to go with everything.

Is Noelle starting to become a popular middle name for girls?
I think it's a very pretty name. I dont think its popular. In year 2005 it ranked 474. Go to http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/babyname.cgi
Reply:when i was naming my daughter 5 years ago one of the names i had picked was

casey noelle but we decieded on megan irene

noelle i think is very beautiful .. i would maybe use it again in a heart beat
Reply:i personally think it is. rose is becoming too popular so many are opting for noelle. it flows well with many first names and is very pretty.

for something different try brielle, janelle, or belle!

Reply:I love that name for a first name!
Reply:i'm sorda noticing that so yes and also trying to stay away from suggesting that

Reply:Was it popular back in the 70s? This was the middle name of one of my best friends when I was growing up.
Reply:Sure it is, my daughter name is Chassity Noelle and my friend's daughter is named Ryan Noelle. I love the name. If I have a boy in the future his name shall be Chase Nicholas.
Reply:I never heard of it before.
Reply:Perhaps it ius due to Deal Or No Deal.
Reply:I have a friend whose sister's name is Sarah Noel! It's not spelled the same way as you are spelling it, though! She is the only person I have ever heard that has Noel or Noelle as a middle name! So I would guess that it is NOT becoming a popular middle name for girls!
Reply:No, not really.

It is my middle name, but I was born quite awhile ago!
Reply:no not to me
Reply:I don't think so. It's a cool name!

Barack has become a popular baby name now, but will anyone name their daughter Stanley after Barack's mom?

Honestly, Stanley?

I almost peed myself laughing when I heard that the first time.

Its just about as bad as being named Tripp.

Barack has become a popular baby name now, but will anyone name their daughter Stanley after Barack's mom?
Ahh, yes, Barack-the-messiah's followers are sure to go above and beyond and name their little girls Barack too, It should be a law to include a number after their name.
Reply:Mostly African Americans and Alaskans name their children stange names. So, no, I don't see Barack Hussien as being a popular name.

And since Stanley is a white name, I don't see African Americans being interested in the name at all.
Reply:Naming babies has turned into a dangerous competition between over-zealous mothers trying to draw attention to their spawn.

The hospital should assign them numbers until they are old enough to read and pick a name for themselves.

It is becoming a matter of child welfare.
Reply:Perhaps. It is common for parents to name their children after the fathers name regardless of gender. Barack mothers name was named Stanley Ann Dunham after her father.
Reply:I feel bad for girl babies who are given names traditionally used for boys.

It's going to be such a hassle for them later on.
Reply:I dont think anyone will name a girl "Stanley". My aunt named her baby Barack, ew. I dont want to see little Baracks running around America.
Reply:mBush40?? What does this have to do with politics? I think you missed the "gossip/society" category.
Reply:That's going to be one upset generation when they realize they were given that name...
Reply:Sure, I can see it happening.
Reply:That's the name of my garage door opener but i didn't name it.
Reply:In the scheme of things. This hardly matters.

Tripp who?
Reply:Why don't I name my kid unknown, that would be closer to the truth then what we know about Obama!

Is Nicole a popular name in Australia?

I'm asking on behalf of my sister. She's pregnant and has the name Nicole in mind for her baby girl. She is moving to Australia soon. I know it's semi-common here in the states. But what about in Australia?

Is Nicole a popular name in Australia?
I don't live in Australia, but I'll say this. It's not unique, but is definitly not too common or overused. I think it's a beautiful name, and as long as she likes it, she should use it!
Reply:The most recent list that I found for Australia was from 1998. It was number 35.
Reply:It's about as popular here as in Australia, maybe slightly more common with older kids (4,5,6,7 year olds) than newborns.

We lived in Melbourne and my second grade twins had two Nicoles in their class.
Reply:That's my name. It doesn't really matter if it's popular or not, if she likes it, then that's what she should name her baby.

good Luck!!!
