Reply:It's ridiculously popular for babies right now. Ava is very popular too, because it's a simmilar name. And any names that have Eva as a nickname, like Evelyn.





I don't know anyone older than like 6 named Eva, or anything similar. But I know 2 Evas, and an Ava.





I pronounce Eva like "ay-va." With a long "a" sound for the E. Like Eva Gabor.
Reply:Well, I think it's becoming more popular because Ava is so popular. So people are looking for a "similar but different" name.

I only know a few people named Eva (at least 2, plus one Eve that goes by Eva)





I live in the U.S. but my dad would kill me if I said the state.... heh, I know, that makes me sound young. Which I am compared to some people, of course.

Reply:I don't know any. That was my mom's aunt's name. It was pronounced Eh-vuh because we are from Puerto Rico. I live in Florida and don't know any here. I think most people here would pronounce it Eee-vuh. The closest I know is a 2 year old named Evelyn that goes by Eve.
