Is the name Greysen popular and what is a good middle name?

My husband and I want to name our son Greysen, which we had never heard of. Now that I am almost due I feel like everyone is naming their son Greysen. Is this the new popular name??? Also, what is a good middle name to go with it??

Is the name Greysen popular and what is a good middle name?
I've never heard of the name, just looked it up on the the meaning of the name is...

The name "Grayson" means Son Of The Grey-Haired One.

The name "Greyson" means Son Of The Grey-haired Man.

Not sure I dig the meaning.

Gordon is nice although it doesn't mean anything except "From Gordon, Scotland".

Gregory means Vigilant,Watchful.

Although if you are going to go with the name Greysen or Greyson, suggestions for middle names are:

Greysen David

Greysen Jason

Greysen James

Greysen Kenneth

Greysen Isiah

Greysen Ian

Greysen Andrew

Greysen Brady
Reply:All of the Gray- and Grey- names have been building in popularity over the past decade.

Greyer was the name of the child in the book/film "The Nanny Diaries." The authors used the kinds of names that were heard in elite Manhattan nursery schools in the early 90s - always a good predictor of what will be heard on playgrounds everywhere else in a decade or so.

Grayson has been the most popular of the category - it's at #211 as of 2007. Greyson is #418.

Neither Gray nor Grey chart, but I've heard both.

So yes, it's the kind of name that you'll hear more of in coming years. Color names - think Violet and Scarlet for girls - are hot, so Gray seems like a masculine option. And the two-syllable, ends-in-n choices for boys have been all the rage for a while.

Still, odds are that your child won't share his name with dozens of other little boys his age, so I wouldn't sweat it too much. It's not Aiden. Or Braydon, Jayden, Caidhen, Haydin or Zaidyn. ;)
Reply:Greysen is getting Slightly more attention but you have spelt it differently

Reply:I think its normally spelled Greyson not greysen.

Its a cute name and not really common. I doubt he'll go to school with another one.

Greyson Kyle came to mind, don't know where that came from.

I think you should use your husband first name though. Or one of the grand fathers. When he asks about his name he'll love the family connection. Good luck!!
Reply:I like that name alot. I don't think it's overpopular because I've never heard it. I do prefer it spelt Grayson or Greyson.

I do have a seven or eight year old neighbor named Gracen, who is a girl though. (pronounced a little differently more like grace -in not gray-son)
Reply:Greysen John

Greysen Michael

Greysen James
Reply:Look it up in the social security records online -- that's what I did to make sure I wasn't using an over-popular name. I only know 1 Greysen if it makes you feel better =)
Reply:I have a friend in his 30's named Greyson. Our son is Jaxon Pierce and if our 2nd child is a boy we liked Greysen Rhys... Good Luck!
