Reply:Smith, Williams, Jones.
Reply:I believe Smith is the most common. I doubt ANY researcher would call it 'popular' %26lt;grin%26gt;
Reply:1...SMITH

2...JOHNSON

3...WILLIAMS
Reply:Smith
Reply:I agree with Bill N, it smith and brown.
Reply:It's either Smith or Brown. I guess. They're at least in the top 10
Reply:I would have to say Rodriguez or Jesus. The Smiths and the Browns are dying off. Pretty soon spanish will be our national language and will be saying El Presidenta Javier Rodriguez and General Jesus.
Reply:I agree with Ted Pack that those are the most common national names.

So I thought I'd answer for my area in the Pacific Northwest. Here it is BROWN, if my personal experience is an indicator.

But the name I hear the most here is DUDE!
Reply:Smith, Johnson, Williams, Jones, Brown, Davis, Miller, Wilson, Moore and Taylor round out the Top 10

Edit to Add: Note to Big B, Sorry the first hispanic name does not appear until at least 17 names. so quit panicking about hispanic surnamed Presidents.... Geesh...........
