What is the name of this popular symbol?

It's a snake wrapped in a cirlce and it is swallowing its tail. What is the name and particulrly, how do you spell it?

What is the name of this popular symbol?
It is called the Ouroboros. (Or ah bur us) It represents how everything in life follows a cycle and has no real begining or end, like when winter ends-you know it will be back the same as always. Different religions give it different meanings though so go look for yourself now that you know what it is called.
