To say name a popular server is like saying what's the best kind of tree. There are many and all have their own attributes. There are PvP and normal (no world pvp) servers. There are regular and RP servers. There are low, medium and high population servers (affects economy and if people will be on if you play at odd hours).





I would go to forums.worldofwarcraft.com and click on the realms link and just start reading the forums for a couple of realm names that look cool. Check out what the community is like and go from there. You could also just start creating level 1 characters on every server until you find one you like.

The best arena teams transferred over there, that's why the servers on BG9 are popular.

Any realm that is "High" populated is a good realm. If you have a bad computer though, dont got to one of these or you will lag bad. hope this helped.

Popular are Aerie Peak and Zul'jin. But these two servers are high population servers, meaning, the fuller they get, the more chances there are of latency in major populated places (such as major cities). Honestly, it doesnt matter which server u play on, if ur focusing on fun :)

You choose a realm to play on, and then create however many characters. (up to 10).





Once you have made these characters, you cant play with them on other realms, unless you pay for a realm change.





Also, WoW is only for PC + Mac. And yes, it has around 8 million players worldwide.
