I'm asking on behalf of my sister. She's pregnant and has the name Nicole in mind for her baby girl. She is moving to Australia soon. I know it's semi-common here in the states. But what about in Australia?
Is Nicole a popular name in Australia?
I don't live in Australia, but I'll say this. It's not unique, but is definitly not too common or overused. I think it's a beautiful name, and as long as she likes it, she should use it!
Reply:The most recent list that I found for Australia was from 1998. It was number 35.
Reply:It's about as popular here as in Australia, maybe slightly more common with older kids (4,5,6,7 year olds) than newborns.
We lived in Melbourne and my second grade twins had two Nicoles in their class.
Reply:That's my name. It doesn't really matter if it's popular or not, if she likes it, then that's what she should name her baby.
